Hello to whomever may be checking up on this page.
As you can see, I haven't added anything in ages, maybe going on three years. I graduated from college last May and while I had a blast taking theatre classes, I really fell behind on making art, even just in my spare time.
I'm looking to make my own website for my work, but first I am going to re-discipline myself in making art, as I didn't make much time for it in the past few years... so I am trying to remedy that. The daily grind of the rat race is starting to get to me and I realize I need to get back to basics, back to what I love, and that is making, performing, doing, being involved in art of any kind.
I also want to start creating works on a consistent basis because I believe that nearly 75% of my gallery here does not necessarily resonate with me. I feel, while my work contains similar themes and stylistic elements, the intention behind it may have changed, or rather, has matured. I would like to create a portfolio to possibly submit to people or start making commissions, but in order to do so, I feel I need to have a collection of pieces that are truly representative of me right now, in this present moment of time.
Thank you to those who do stop by, perhaps I'll have something new up soon.
-Vanessa
